Juicing FAQ
Q> Why is juicing a better source of vitamins and minerals then bottled juice?
A> Before bottling, fruits and vegetables in bottled juice are heated and processed. Putting the produce through this process causes many of the vitamins and minerals to be lost. By making your own juice you are retaining these vitamins and minerals found in natural fruit. Organic fruit is the best in order to avoid any chemicals whatsoever.
Q> If I make a fresh batch of juice, how long can I store it?
A> Fresh juice will begin to go bad once made. Also, during the deterioration process much of the vital nutrients are lost. Thus it is best to drink juice as soon as you can after making it, in order to satiate yourself with the most nutrients possible. However, you can store the juice in a freezer, inside of a frozen thermos. Even though the juice loses nutrients over time, this juice will still be much more nutritional for you then bottled juice from the store.
Q> How can I get the most juice from my produce when I make it using the Carico juicer?
A> Take your time when using the juicer. Don't force the fruits and vegetables through; just place them through slowly and take your time to obtain the most juice.
Q> Is protein in juices?
A> If you would like a proten intake in your juice you can use greens in your juice. All leafy greens have large servings of protein in them. For the most protein content try a glass of carrot juice, which has 5 grams of protein. This is equal to the protein derived from one egg.
